Heart of Snow

Heart of Snow

A Poem by cyphertext

Heart of snow

The colour of snow oh so white,

Blank like unscripted paper,

So pure as it is light,

Yet cold like my life of misery forever.

The pain my body forced to take,

Memories of sorrow involuntarily ingrained

I felt the hatred of commons sake,

In my heart it remained,

I fear my days are never over,

Eternal like the rising sun.

Wherefore art thou not in fear?

The quicksilver that broods anger,

Am I not the blame for all thy sins,

Instilling hate within thy veins, and,

The sole causality for thy suffering?

But you, my accomplice are by my side,

I gave you power that sheds ire,

You gave me love like none other,

Beautiful, not something to hate, such you desire.

To a stranger, a monster, a witch I am.

You are my flame when I am near you,

Or the sunlight in summer's day,

With power greater than the one I granted,

One that heals and not destroy,

I am your witch as you are my warlock,

Your power gives me strength,

Always glorious, always triumphant and everlasting,

To melt this heart of snow.
