The feeling of freedom, cleanliness, purity

The feeling that all negative emotions have left

Freeing my aggression

Freeing my sadness

Freeing my soul

Forgetting the past

Forgetting the future

Forgetting the present

Lost in the pain

Lost in the sight

Lost in the pleasure

All because of the lines on my legs

All because of the lines on my arms

All because of the scars and cuts across my body

Finally free, I clean myself

Ready for a new day

Emotionally reset

The feeling returns

The anger returns

The sadness returns

I need to do it again.

Was Inspired by my own and my friends experience with self harm. My hope is for the reader to understand that self harm isn't just about wanting to die, it's a catalyst for negative feelings, allowing the person using self harm a way to effectively get rid of their negative emotions.
