Anger

Anger

A Poem by Aubrey
"

The feeling of pure rage, those who don't feel it, are lying to themselves.

"

The most profound emotion,

the one humans have ignored with all their hearts,

only depicted in villains and killers.

The one that can be so primal,

 so primitive,

that some can't even describe it with words,

only described in the most violent arts.

 Even the most profound authors,

can not describe it exactly the same.

It will always be felt differently,

 different causes,

 effects and consequences.

Some feel it in its most primal state,

while others feel it in its most washed out form.

Anger is what I speak of.

Rage, fury, wrath.

One of the Seven Deadly Sins,

condemned by the highest lord himself,

 yet felt by all.

Author's Note

Aubrey
My newest poem! It was inspired by anger at my abuser, and the thought that no one really notices their rage until they're on the verge of being taken over by it.

I never stopped to think about this like that. It’s often enlightening to reflect on things from a different perspective.
