20/20

Peace upon us is my vision clearly

 

In several weeks in my reverie

Something from far I see a bright light

Although it is at night visible like sun

In halo shape that attracts my awareness

 

Somewhat corrupted my notion

A sign with deep secrets it seems

That charms my interest

That builds my curiosity

 

I tried to go for a closer look

Just to analyze what it could be

With that bright light attracting me

But seems so far to reach the place

 

Through the last long moment

The large wings of my curiosity

Flew me to the place whence it came

And I found the light from a church

 

The light reflecting pearly drops

Coming from the eyes of a man

A man in wooden huge cross

Light beams and charmed my whim

 

But the curiosity still upon me

Why He is crying, what it could be ?

And in my thoughts I uttered, maybe

for the atrocity in the world what's going on

 

To the event of killing the people of Syria

To the event of struggle in my native land

That's in Zamboanga City in Mindanao recently

To other act of cruelties not in God's fate

 

In my 20/20 vision, a message perhaps

Perchance we had forgotten Him ?

And it reminded that it's Sunday

The prayers we have to offer

 

I said not only to the people of my native land

But for every mankind in this world

The prayer of good health and peace

Much I did to be blessed with sincerity

In the second line, don't you think it should be, "from afar" instead of "from far"?

This line, "To other act of cruelties not in God's fate." reminds me of our human tendency to blame every calamity, every problem to God, thinking He brought these bad things to us. In fact, these calamities are merely the result of undesirable human behavoirs, all of which God is not responsible. You have such lovely insights. Keep them going! :)
