You and I - Class Reunion AftermathA Poem by Ency BearisAs per request and a favor I composed this poem for my cousin in law to her new found love.I wonder how things had happened I wonder how God gave me this fate Maybe my prayers were heard by God As I believed and had faith with God It was in my emotional distress Recovering from the unpleasant divorce To the Class Reunion I attended And how exciting to see all My former classmates from high school years Had momentarily, temporarily Forgotten the fire inside my chest And the rain had stopped from my eyes Then you came to my side You initiated the conversation And I was surprised to what you had told me Reminiscence from high school years That you brought to the plate And - the secret revelation You had an eye on me during our teenage years I was your apple of your eyes It seemed you're telling the truth As you opened the book of your life Pages to pages - I took heed Then I went ahead to share my walk of life too Road to road - you listened We realized we were in the same page We were unsuccessful to marriage life Though we were from different direction You want to merge our book and road to one To the wonderful journey of life you want Into sweet passion with good fashion And our past marriage we will forget I agreed to your idea as I believed you and I will Thanks God for the Class Reunion Thanks God for we crossed our path Thanks God for I was your apple In yours eyes still the sweet apple Although we are now in midlife In your heart not the apple cider Nor like the vinegar As I am still sweet like sugar For you still love me And I'll feed your love with my sweet nutrients 'til I have the life that God given 'til God take our mundane Ency Bearis All Rights Reserved 2013 © 2013 Ency BearisAuthor's Note
