This poem seems to be drawn tightly together by the use of sound or language words; it begins with a question in an echoing voice, loud silence as an answer. The imagery of a wall makes it feel claustrophobic with the final line hammering home a clear emotion. IMHO the purpose of all art is to convey an emotion more complex than could be managed by a single word like "sad" or "angry", to that end this brief offering succeeds exceptionally well. Technicals aside, no one can hurt you but the ones you love and I can certainly empathize with the sting of a loved one erecting walls. Good write.
