I Can't Paint The Picture Of...

I Can't Paint The Picture Of...

A Poem by D
"

A hopeless romantic who can't seem to express feelings of being in love or experiencing genuine affection

"

Love poetry is not my strong suit

Every line feels too cheesy

And every adjective feels wrong

I can't seem to paint the picture

From my point of view of

When you softly kiss me with a true passion

And desire

When you speak the words

My tattered heart has yearned to hear

Even of when your perfectly sculpted body

Hovers over mine

Or of how long we stare into the eyes of each other

And my body feels so light

While your eyes are speaking

The thousands of words we arent saying

I never feel like my words

My descriptions

Can capture the power of the emotions

Flooding my veins

When I see you

Sometimes love can't be explained and that's perfectly fine. You do a fine job at describing how this person makes the other one feel when their words are not being used. I do not write romance poems, I read some of them and alot of the ones I read often focuses on the feeling the other person gives them, or describing actions like what the person does etc. Sorry that I am not much help on that note, but I'm sure if you read more romance poems and with practice perhaps you'll learn to write more romance poems. Maybe one piece of advice I can give, is to write from the heart. What you feel inside, just write it sincerely and maybe that'll be your greatest romance poem. I enjoyed reading this though! It was a very sincere poem.
