As green as her eyes
A Poem by

Death and rebirth
Her pale face glares as a moon drowning in a black ink ocean. The stars in her green eyes are dying out soon, quitely, still in motion. Under the green grassfield likewise; flows her hair---the color of the sand. Her breath yields to the skies, whereas the earth holds her hand. Even in eternal slumber, she smiles; as her lips are roses filling the world, wide--extended for miles, cherishing the gift of the lord.

Ahh, this was beautiful... I agree with the others the imagery in this piece is breathtaking. The second stanza is my absolute favorite, yet the entire poem had a very serene feel, almost as if I was drifting as I read it. I am listening to the song now which truly compliments this piece, slow and warming much like the words of your poem. I must say this is excellent, one of my favorite poem and song combos. Once again, just beautiful...

Strong words made the poem come alive. I like the description of the nature and the positive ending. A excellent poem. Thank you.
