Rain...oh please rain,
wash away our pain;
it's too agonizing,
for we regretted before realizing.
Don't just hide our tears, for we can't face our fears.
For you fall from a sky,
that for us will always cry,
since we're mostly feeling blue.
You realize It's sad but true.
With umbrellas on the ground,
we're crying with no one around.
Rain...oh heavy rain,
you aren't what we want to gain,
but with our hearts heavy, scared
and full of secrets unshared,
you might mend our scars,
for you came down from the stars.
This is a very beautiful poem! Sometimes all we need is a bit of healing. The human soul is amazing with all the emotions it can carry in it, and sometimes it just needs a good break. This is a very lovely poem. :)
The rain to me is always a spiritual healer... I know when I watch or hear it I can feel at ease no matter what is going on in my life... a great plea to mother nature.
I really like the last stanza. This poem is moving and quite touching to the soul. If only it was that simple to get rid of the pain that we all sometimes have to endure. Spendidly done.
Rain makes me happy. Thunder and lightning makes it even better... All of it happening in the dark is absolutely ecstasy... Even though your poem was devoid of a storm, I did actually enjoy reading it. For some strange reason, it made me feel like chanting...weird... I think I'll go do that now. Very nice work, Ms. Black.Butterfly.
