You drag my heart

You drag my heart

You drag my heart

You drag my heart down on the floor,

With a time-eaten rusty iron chain.

It’s nothing like I have ever seen before,

You cause me this unforgettable pain.

Is it that my waves crashed at your shore?

I do not see what you’re gonna gain.

You do not see what I’m crying oceans for,

For you heart breaking is simple and plain.

My heart was pierced deep into the core,

Yet bits and pieces of my soul were not slain.

For my resolve, you just wait one day more,

I’ll show you how much you are vain.

A powerful poem. The poem flowed like music. I could feel the pain and desire to understand. I like the ending. Can't allow anyone to keep us down. We may get up mad as hell. A excellent poem.

I love this. It's something I can really relate to. Someone will hurt more than words can say and more than dreams could tell, and you never forget the pain. But yet, not all of you is broken and some of you still hangs in there to try and keep going. After awhile, you want the person to realize what they did and how much of there self they thought of. Or at least thats's what I got out of it [: Anyways, really good write, I enjoyed it! Keep sending the read request! [: x
