Forget me not

Forget me not

relive in memory

Forget me not

As my face is haunting blue

And my hands start to rot

I am long gone from you

So I left you this forget-me-not.

I wonder whether you cried

And revived me in memory a lot

Although my heart aches if you tried

But please forget me not.

it's Sweet in scent and beautifully sad

Short-lived like a butterfly being caught

Told this is an enough life you had

That is the fate of a forget-me-not.

Although as my lips are icy blue

A yellow glow lights my heart

With your love, I’m able to cross through

Take care of my forget-me-not.

I loved the first stanza. The flow is amazing in that one stanza and the rhyme and rhythm are great. The wording and the rhythm, however, for the rest of the poem felt really awkward for me to read. The imagery throughout the poem is nice, it's just doesn't feel right in the wording being used.

Wonderful juxtaposition between the delicacy of the forget me not and the grim reality of death.

Nice write.

This is a very beautiful poem. Quite passionate and I also love the imagery. The word choice is very good and it seems like it was written quite effortlessly. You did a wonderful job on this. A favorite of mine now that I'm always sure to remember. Splendidly done.
