Finally freeA Poem by emz
I sip my wine, the soft velvet textures fill my soul, i think of you, and wonder why you didn't tell the truth. I light my cigarette and watch the smoke, fold and unfold, wrapping around memories of lies so uncouth.
I secretly hope your'e unhappy with her, realising the grass was like hay on the other side, sharp and yellow with a smell of sulphur, wishing you had came clean and not lied.
I pour myself another glass of merlot, light another cigarette as i smile, glad my mood has lifted from such low, knowing i can now be floating high. © 2008 emzReviews
