Congratulations on your first ever Haiku! I love it... you have brought the rain and the sun together. The watchful eye... laughing here... it feels like a family reunion of sorts... everyone is there, but not necessarily happy to see each other. I have no idea if this is the way that you intended to portray it or if it's my own warped imagination, but it sure made me chuckle. That's another thing I love about the Haiku... its brevity leaves room for some imagination. Just reading a good haiku is a creative exercise in and of itself.... maybe even more creative than actually writing it, if you think about it... literally... if you think about it. I think you better be careful who you're calling "a talent beyond words", lest you find yourself at a loss... :) A delightful read... one fine haiku... *raising a toast*... to more of the same... cheers
For a first attempt this is great; for a seasoned haiku writer it is great too. You said you didn't think yours were as good as mine but I beg to differ. I really like this one - and I'm not actually a big haiku fan.
Good job!
It's lovely and the pic is lovely too. I have tried a few of these myself but just can't seem to get it together. They look simple but they are far from. Well done.
It's been a while since I've even tried a haiku. A lot of work/thought goes into few lines. I'm certainly not an expert, but I like this one of yours. The words went well with the picture. :-) Sharon
