Double Standards

 

I dont mean to be critical,

or have a double standard,

but i feel i need to set things straight,

and i,ll say this double handed.

The world we're in is s**t right now,

can you humour me please?

we cant even walk the countryside,

for fear of foot and mouth disease.

Your bag gets nicked, god dont defend,

just let them run right by,

cos if you try and fight or fuss,

they'll run you over, and you'll die.

Dont panic when i tell you,

there's a peodifile next door,

just lock your kids up night and day,

cos the streets aren't safe anymore.

I know i,m being morbid, i dont mean to be a pain,

i wish i could be candid, not crazy and insane.

But its impossible to lie to you,

the terror now has landed.

This world it needs some help,

not single but double handed.

No more ships we'll build my friend,

no more coal to mine.

Computers are our lives you see,

its a classic sign of times.

I know that i,m old fashioned,

and i might have double standards,

but lets stick together, as two not one,

and prove we're double handed.
