Graffitti

Graffitti

A Poem by emz

A shooting star,

accross the sky,

a firework,

that burns then dies

it looks so grand to you and me,

in a word,

graffitti.

A rocking chair,

an old settee,

scratched and torn for all to see,

it looks a mess to you and me,

in a word,

graffitti.

A lonely child

just standing there,

a face so bruised beyond repair,

it looks so sad to you and me,

in a word,

graffitti.

A world thats lost

to bllod and tears,

pollution, murder, rape and fear,

we turn blind eyes, you and me,

in a word,

graffitti.

The writings on the wall, it seems,

peoples lives and peoples dreams,

it's there for everyone to see,

in a word,

graffitti.

This is a creative piece. I enjoy how you explain "graffiti" in so many different ways. It's a mark, a scar, a way of representing feelings or persons...you showed this in different lights that can relate to many different people. Good write.
