Suspicion of contradiction

 

Walking round in circles,

i feel i've done before,

you said that once you loved me,

but you've said that twice before.

 

Its not that i don't trust you,

i hear every word you say,

it's just, i dont believe you,

when you stay, then go away.

 

You walked me home that winter night

although the sun it shone.

I thought it felt so good, so right

and yet it felt so wrong.

 

And then you left me all alone,

although you were still ther.

Your eyes, they chilled me to the bone,

yet i never saw you stare.

 

I only half believe you,

my other half it doubts,

for you speak to me so softly,

while your eyes, they scream and shout.

 

Suspicion it becomes me

i know i,m not paranoid

but the words you say, they hold the key,

to a heart thats full of fraud.

 

Now i,m calm and sane,

yet crazy and quite mad,

for suspicion, when it came,

took everything i had.

Great write. Again, very personal and thought provoking. Interesting thought...it's not that you don't trust, but you don't believe. I think I could really buy into this concept. Well written ideas.
