How do I tell you?

a poem I wrote when I went through heartache with a friend. I just hope one day they know how much they mean to me.

How do I tell you, whats on my mind?

You are there and I am here

we might drift away, but I keep you near.

How do I tell you how I feel?

my heart does race, when I look at you.

I just really wish you knew.

A text, a call is all I need,

 before a stupid big grin appears,

just to know that you're thinking of me. 

How do I tell you what it's like?

I don't have you here by my side.

I whispered 'I love you' but it fell on deaf ears

So now I'm here, and your over there,

all I'm left with is a stream of tears, 

and then heart ache appears

No-one to comfort and dry my eyes,

my heart aches for you

as you're not by my side

I tried and failed,

 to get you to see

that I could be your one and only "honey bee"

How do I tell you that my world is shattered?

you've moved on, I have to too

but it hurts to know that those 3 words, I'll never say to you

For now we're friends

and time has passed

my heart still aches, you're just out of my grasp

I've loved and miss you, I just wish I could tell you

I hope one day, the time will come

that we'll be together where we belong,
