I Want To Be Loved.

I am just a girl that lacks feeling loved

I want to be loved. 

I want to be loved like people love sunsets,

people gaze at sunsets like they're the most beautiful thing.

I want to be adored like a sunset. 

I want my hand to be held like apples, 

intertwined like apples on the branches of spring trees.

I want to be cherished. 

Cherished like an honest apology, 

like an honest remark.

I want to be valued,

Valued as if I were art in a gallery.

I want to be respected.

Respected like a woman 

should be respected. 

I want to be loved. 

Loved so much

that it radiates.

There is an anticipation that is heavy as a weight on your shoulders when those things you mention here are not forthcoming. Perhaps time has worn them thin or love is not knocking at your door. You express a desire that is in every humans heart from the start. The trick is being able to recognize others need it from you too.

I know what you mean. it's hard to find that special someone, when it feels like no one really takes the time to see you for who you are.

That's not my line, but I believe it's true.

Love is toxicating, and it blinds us. But we don't care. We enjoy it. We don't mind that the vision of our loved one is twisted and dishonest, we adore every moment of it.
