Long gone.

Letting my thoughts go before they consumed me even more.

And that was the worst part,
Needing someone who didn't need you.
Needing someone who never needed you.

But I lost my best friend,
My rock, my world.

A whirlwind came through and distroyed all in sight.
And even though I knew I had lost you long before you left,
I knew how much it would hurt later on.
Yet, you were already long gone.

And that's how I knew that I missed you more than anything,
When I had a great moment,
Or a funny story,
Or I finally acomplished a goal,
And turned to find the ghost you'd left behind.

I just didn't think I would be here,
Months later,
Sitting here,
Missing my best friend,
From too long ago.
