[Chapter Four]

“Amaya, slow down!” Koda yelled after Amaya, but she wouldn’t stop running. Amaya couldn’t believe what she heard from Ichigo’s mouth. She knew that she had bipolar issues, but she wasn’t insane.  She loved him with all her heart, but that was the final straw. She hated what he would do to her when they saw each other.

 

                “Amaya, please let’s just talk!” Koda yelled after her. Amaya slowed to a stop. Amaya was wondering what was going to happen between her and Ichigo now. He should have remembered that today was her parent’s anniversary. Her tears were flowing again.

 

                “Okay.” She said in a defeated tone.

 

                “What’s wrong?” Koda asked when she caught up. Amaya grabbed her pinkish reddish hair into a tight ball. Koda freaked a bit wondering if she was going to pull her hair out, but Amaya was surprisingly calm.

 

                “Ichigo knows what day it is, but he always says something stupid to make me upset. I really love him and I want us to last, but he doesn’t seem to love me as much as I think he does. I hate what today has become. I hate being impatient as well, but I really wanted to see him. I don’t know where I’m going to go. I don’t have anywhere to stay and I don’t want to stay with Ichigo. I know he’s upset right now.” Amaya told Koda openly. It had only been a couple of hours since they met, but Amaya felt comfortable around Koda.

 

                “I’m sorry, Amaya. You can stay with me if you want. I own a two bedroom apartment. It will be fun.” Koda said with a small smile. Amaya smiled wide, but she was still upset. She didn’t mean to say I hate you to Ichigo. Her emotions were getting carried away.

 

                She pulled out the letter from her pocket. That would be the only comfort for her. Koda was starting to wonder what so special about the letter. She didn’t think it would be a good idea to ask Amaya because her eyes were starting to tear up. Koda felt bad, but she was going to have to ask her eventually.

               

                “Amaya, when you are done with your letter can we talk more? I have a question to ask you.”

 

                “Sure, Koda, you can ask me anything.” Amaya said with a small smile. Her smile was vulnerable. Koda could see the weakness that she was feeling at that point. It was not that hard to see.

 

                Meanwhile the guys were getting their orders taken by Ayumi. Ichigo still didn’t know what to order. He wanted to apologize to his girlfriend for making her cry more. Ichigo knew that it was a hard day for her. The three years she had to suffer without her parents. He could understand just a little bit. His mother was killed…Amaya lost both of her parents. He wasn’t really focusing on the menu. “Are you guys ready to order now?”

 

                “Sure, I would like some pancakes.” Ed said. He was still fazed by the events that just happened. He looked over to his new friend. Ichigo just decided to order the same thing. He knew that Ed was thankful for rescuing him.

 

                “I would like the same thing.” Ichigo said. He was looking off into space. He wasn’t going to be much conversation when he was deep in thought like that.

 

                “So um, what was that about?” Edward asked.

                “Well I guess it’s mainly because I left her in an unfamiliar area by herself. That was stupid on my part, but I could see that you were in trouble. Then you asked me to breakfast so I just left her lost. She is having a bad day. I think I just made it worse.” Ichigo said. Now my girlfriend hates me. I was hoping she was okay, but she got mad. I maybe shouldn’t have said that to her. I should have kept my mouth shut.

 

                “Well that is none of my business.” Edward said. He didn’t know what else to say. He didn’t know Ichigo well enough to question him. After an argument Ichigo decided to pay half of the bill. Edward said that he owed him, but Ichigo didn’t want to hear anything of it. He wanted to pay half. Ichigo and Edward walked to the store to get the orange juice. Ichigo decided to buy Amaya some apologetic chocolates.

 

                He didn’t know where Amaya was going to be. He got his phone out and sent her a message. He didn’t know if as going to answer or not. Knowing her he knew that she wasn’t going to message him back. He did upset her by saying that she was insane.

 

                “Why are you getting her chocolates? She slapped you.” Ed asked. Ed seemed like the player type in Ichigo’s opinion. Ichigo didn’t mind that. He wasn’t the type of person to judge.

 

                “It was my own fault. I shouldn’t have said that she was insane. I think she’s insane. She doesn’t think she is which is pretty awkward, but oh well.” Ichigo said with a laugh. He made fun of her all the time behind her back. He didn’t want to think about what would happen if she found out.

 

                He also decided to get her a rose. He knew that she loved him. Behind her tough exterior she was a very girly girl. Ichigo loved that about her. He couldn’t wait to see her again. Amaya finally texted him back a couple of minutes later. She normally was pretty quick about it, but she was mad at him so he guessed that he deserved it.

 

                “I’m at Koda’s house.”

                “Who is Koda?”

                “The girl that was with me.”

                “Text me the address.”

                “I have to ask her first.”

 

                Amaya asked Koda if she could give her boyfriend her address. Koda agreed to let him have it. Amaya smiled and hugged Koda. She was wondering what Koda wanted to ask her. She was being left in suspense. She was reading through the letter for the fifth time. It was something she wanted.

 

                She sent him the address. Ichigo knew that they weren’t that far away.

                “Do you want to come with me to see the girls?”

                “Yeah, sure, whatever.” Ed said. He bought his orange juice and they were out the door
