-When I open my eyes, will you be the first thing I see?-
Koda doesn't want to see the world anymore. She's tired of seeing things that she can never unsee, and she'd rather remember the world before she know of it's unchanging corruption. At the tender age of seven, Koda blocks out these images by wrapping her eyes in bandages. She closes herself off and lives in a world of pitch black. As the years go by she befriends a young boy named Edward who becomes her best friend and aids her in every day tasks she cannot do because she refuses to remove the bandages.
They're 18 now, and Koda has not once removed her bandages since befriending Edward. He begins to wonder just what it was that caused her to enclose herself in self-inflicted darkness. Will it be him that gets her to see the light again? Or will he push her to the point of no return? Inner demons, conflicting feelings, and abusive parents will be the only thing standing in the way of these two friends both reuniting with a light they both have lost along the way.
