Paper Bag [I Need a Friend]A Poem by Emunah June.
When the chips collapse between my fingers And there's nowhere left to turn I need someone, with strength aplenty To hold me and cry with me
I need a friend Who won't question my outlooks Who will welcome my horizons And build up my dreams
I need a friend Who will accept me as I am Who will take this paper bag Off my head for good
I need a friend Will whom my iPod can be shared And we can sit in the back of the bus Listening to something completely original
Dancing to the hymn of enternal gratitude Forever enveloped in the caring arms of old Wishing for a friend to love me To forever remember my name
Im not asking for much, just support and security A hand to take mine when I'm too weak to stand A wallet to pay incase I forget mine A kiss on the cheek saying "Great job, you did it!"
So forget everything I've ever said and done And lets begin a new day starting now All I ask is that when I awake There'll be a friend smiling at me © 2011 Emunah June.Reviews
