Paper Bag [I Need a Friend]

 

 

When the chips collapse between my fingers

And there's nowhere left to turn

I need someone, with strength aplenty

To hold me and cry with me

 

I need a friend

Who won't question my outlooks

Who will welcome my horizons

And build up my dreams

Who will accept me as I am

Who will take this paper bag

Off my head for good

Will whom my iPod can be shared

And we can sit in the back of the bus

Listening to something completely original

 

Dancing to the hymn of enternal gratitude

Forever enveloped in the caring arms of old

Wishing for a friend to love me

To forever remember my name

 

Im not asking for much, just support and security

A hand to take mine when I'm too weak to stand

A wallet to pay incase I forget mine

A kiss on the cheek saying "Great job, you did it!"

 

So forget everything I've ever said and done

And lets begin a new day starting now

All I ask is that when I awake

There'll be a friend smiling at me

Beautiful vision of what difference good friends make to our lives...loved the final stanza especially...:)
And there is good imagery here...I could actually picture the friends sitting together at the back of the bus......

A combination of Simple and Sweet. You use little words with very warm sunset colors.The image emphasized the power of your emotions. I didn't like the girl in the anime, but my sister says the show is amazing. Anyway,
