Lock Me Away

Lock Me Away

A Poem by Emunah June.

Don't put anyone else at risk!

What are you waiting for?!

Don't stare, grab my hands!!

Do as I say! GRAB MY HANDS!!

You can't just sit there! Hurry!

We don't have much time!

Who knows when I'll explode??

Just grab my hands, please!!

Yes, thats it...

Good. Now, quickly, wrap me up in a nice straight jacket.

Why are you just staring?

You going to get someone killed!

You don't know the real me, obviously.

You've got my hands, but now you're letting go.

Don't you get it?! I can't be amoung the real people!!

Get me out of here and fast!!

Wrap me up, and be quick about it.

The longer I'm free, the more people will get hurt.

Is that what you're wanting? Huh? You sick phsyco!

I know what I'm doing, now wrap me up!!

Good. You're starting to listen, finally.

I can see you're starting to think of other people's safety.

Now my hands are wrapped up, I can't hurt anyone anymore.

Good.

Oh wait, yes I can.

Well...must I spell it out for you?!

Cover my mouth with an iron mask!

Hurry now, hurry!!

You're just staring at me again...are you even listening?

Others will get hurt! I'm a monster, you neeed to stop me!

Cover my mouth!! Cover my mouth!!

Hurry up and cover my mouth!!

What? The mask is only for cannibals, you say?

Forget that! Without that mask the words will slip out!

It's going to stop them! It's going to save lives!

Now cover my mouth already!!

Good...

Now put me to sleep.

A good gentle poke of the syringe

And I'll sleep

I'll sleep and never hurt another soul again...

Fierce. Very dark. I like it. Things can always get better. Locking someone up isn't always the answer. Any how. Keep up the great work. I enjoyed it. Nice use of exclamation points.

What a dark, eerie poem... It's quite haunting. I can imagine this going on in my head. Nice job! Although, I'm sorry to hear you're having inner struggles. :( If there's anything I can do to help, let me know. I hope you're feeling better soon! God bless you.
