Amazement

Amazement

A Poem by Emunah June.

Miku H.

The whisper of the newborn

The caress of first kiss

The star in heaven's gaze

The girl with her first wish

The note along the staff

The chorus humming buzz

The beginning of the rising dawn

The baby cat's new fuzz

The hand inside your own

The words along the page

The force that switches sun for moon

The beginning of summer days

The tender touch of a lover

The ten thirty and night phone call

The tears of joy at the graduation

The first crunched leaf in the fall

The newly coverted's first bible

The sister-in-college's annual hug

The breath that you take in the moment

The feeling of holding a lady bug

The film inside the camera

The shine inside the lens

The first taste of 103 degree ice cream

It's a shame that it always ends
