Inferno

Inferno

A Poem by Emunah June.
"

Being sick is no fun -____-

"

I need someone

To come and put out the flame

Because it's hungry maw

Has swallowed me whole

I can breathe

My throat is caving in

And I feel nothing but fire

Run up and down

My body

My stomach turns

And I can't tell reality

Apart anymore

I cant smell the smoke

But I know it's there

Eating me

Taunting me

Laughing at me

I ice down the pain

But the fire's burn rages on

And the thermometer

Reaches 100.5

And my world is enveloped in flames

Endless

Burning

Raging flames

when i lived in colorado before my brother and sister were born, and it was just me and my other brother, we used to sleep on a bunk bed. whenever someone got sick, my dad would have them sleep on the bottom bunk, and they would get a fort built with blankets and junk for them. then at the foot of the bed would be the steam Vicks thing, you know? so we would be able to sleep in a steamy fort :3
