Chapter 10: Brother

Chapter 10: Brother

A Chapter by Emunah June.
"

Uh oh...lol :3

"

"Alphonse! You're standing!"

By the time Brother arrived, Ayumi and Kaen had been gone for quite awhile. It took alot of strength, but I was finally able to stagger to my feet. It hurt to move, so I had been meekly looking out the window.

Brother stopped short of me. "Does it hurt?" he asked, and I shook my head, lying. "No."

Yes it does, but I dont want to lay down all day. Makes me feel lazy.

Brother brought the metal chair next to my bed over and sat next to me. "Im surprised to see such a fast recovery from you, bud," he said, relaxing.

Yeah, me too.

Brother looked around. "Where'd Ayumi go?"

"Home."

"What?"

"Ayumi went home. Kaen came and got her."

"Did she sneak out of her duties?!"

"No, I let her go."

Brother stared, then crossed his arms. "You should have kept her longer. After all, standing or not, you look kinda weak."

I looked at my reflection through the window. Sure enough, my face was pale and looked sick. It was painfully obvious I had been run over by a car.

Anyone could tell.

I look at Brother, then my eyes traveled down to his wedding ring.

"Follow me if you want me."

I had followed her. In that dream.

And I fully knew she was married.

I felt guilty, and Brother must have noticed. "Alphonse? Is everything okay?" he asks me, his eyes concerned.

I wonder if I should tell him.

I blush. "Um...well...I had a weird dream last night and--"

This sparks his interest. "Ooh! A dream! Tell me! I'm all ears!"

I blush again.

Uh oh.

How to word it?

Yeah I kissed your wife and she told me to follow her if I was attracted. And guess what? I followed! *stupid smile here*

Yeah, that wouldn't work.

I try a different approach.

"I drempt that I was at a masquerade ball. And I saw Koda there. We talked for a bit, then I woke up."

"Al...how is that weird?"

"I dunno. I've never drempt about masquerade balls."

Brother laughs, and I breathe a sigh of relief.

Suddenly, I feel dizzy and collapse to the floor.

Brother helps me stand. "C'mon Al," he says, "you should lay down."

I love this chapter! Poor Al! He deserves love. I like that he saved himself. I laughed when I read that he danced with his wife and followed her cause she was attractive. Good chapter. Can't wait to read on. Thanks for sharing.

Nice little cover up by Al lol...I can imagine the look on his face if he had said he kissed Koda...Man I hope Al gets better soon, he needs to just rest so he can be fully recovered

I want to know how Ed would take it if Al told him that he kissed his wife in the dream. By the way, I loved the "*stupid smile here*" I just couldn't help but picture it in my head. ^^
