When You Kiss HerA Poem by Emunah June.I've been wondering this for quite a while. I bet you'll never read it.When you kiss her Behind the stage Do you ever stop to think? Do you ever wait a minute and Compare My lips to hers?
Do you ever?
When she slinks her arms Around your waist And presses her lips To yours Do you ever wish she'd go away? Do you ever wish it was me Holding you?
When you lean forward And give her what she's wanted Does your heart rip Because its not me? Or are you glad It's someone else?
You told me she was a pest That it was all a huge mistake And while part of me wanted it to be true I guess its not.
Thats okay. I'm okay with that now.
When you kiss her Do you ever stop to wonder If Im watching? If Im standing on the sidelines With a broken heart?
Do you ever feel guilt Remorse Shame Longing When you kiss her?
How many have been shared? One? Two? No, its more than that I've seen.
As I write My heart sends waves of betrayal Down through my blood And I feel jealous I guess
If you read this I guess I can only ask: When peering eyes cant see you And I forget about it Can you kiss my forehead Since my lips aren't hers?
Remind me Of how special to you I once was. And never again will be. And I'll be fine. © 2011 Emunah June.Reviews
