Stomach of the Tomb

Stomach of the Tomb

A Poem by Emunah June.
"

He is risen (Play the song)

"

In the stomach of the tomb

There lay a King

With holes in His hands

And holes in His feet

His heart has heard it's last beat

His flesh pale with death

Followers burning with brimming tears

Haunted by His last breath

The morning has come

The birds have awakened

Something feels strange

The land will be shaken

His skin recieves colour

His eyes, full of wisdom, open wide

Taking a breath with a smile on His lips

Arise, King, arise!

He stands on His feet

And the rock rolls away

He stands, and He waits

And the dawn turns to day

The world is free from wonder

Free from it's restless nights

Rejoice in glory, worshippers

For from the stomach of tomb, arises Jesus Christ

I like the way you set-up the poem. Made the story come alive and strong. Thank you for remembering someone who gave all for love and forgiveness. Could use Jesus today in this world spiraling in the wrong direction. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
