If I Died TodayA Poem by Emunah June.If I died today It'd be quick And painless I'd just fall Onto the floor And fade into the ground below me
If I died today Pick me up like a new bride And carry me away To the windiest peaks And lay me down In the grass And close my eyes
If I died today Take me to the seas And place me in the water But hold me still So the colour will wash away From my dusty, sandy cheeks
If I died today Take all documentation Of my existance And bury it with me So I may remember Who I am When I become spirited away
If I died today Cover me in dirt And give me a single flower With most of it's petals Already gone
If I died today Tattoo my name on your arms And don my smile And whisper my name Into the ears of your children
If I died today Bury me With a photo Of the skies Of the seas Of the earth Of the heavens And smile
