THE TOTALLY TRUE FILES

 

 

"Alphonse," Koda whispered, her eyes stringy with tears. Alphonse knew that look anywhere. It was the look of one who was suffering inside. Gently he grabbed her shoulders and held her close. "It's alright Koda. We'll find Nii-San I swear!"

 

But it was obvious that Koda had lost all hope. She sat at her desk weeping and blaming herself for Ed's dissapearance.

 

Alphonse couldn't defend her much on that one. After all, she WAS the last one seen with him before he went missing. But to see her oceanic eyes flood with tears...!! Alphonse sure wished he could have done something.

 

Koda looked him dead in the eyes, her hair covering her forhead. "Alphonse tell me...how bad of a failure am I?"

 

Alphonse shook his head. "Not at all! You're trying your hardest! Things don't just come to you right away you know. You've gotta work for it," he reassured, gently rubbing her back. Koda sighed, more tears streaming down her porcelain cheeks. "I just...oh God, Al, what if he's dead? What good will I have done then?!" she shouted, pushing his hands off of her and slamming her head against her desk.

 

Alphonse still didn't know what to do. She was just so...innocent. To see her down like this was almost torturous. 

 

Alphonse thought back to the times when his mom and dad used to fight. It always ended in the same way, and everything seemed to end for the better because of it. So, Alphonse figured it just may help him in this situation.

 

Swiftly, he grabbed Koda roughly by the shoulders and slammed her into him, pressing his lips on hers. She froze in his hands, but she didn't push him away or fight back. Instead, she quietly brought her hands around his back and held him close.

 

Alphonse released himself, and Koda only sat and stared in total wonder. Alphonse could feel himself turning red. He wondered if Nii-San would be mad at him for this.
