Screaming

Screaming

A Poem by Emunah June.

I can't say it loud enough

The speakers are broken and my eardrums are bleeding

It's not screaming, it's a loud whisper

Can you hear me now?

Wires are scattered everywhere

And my hands are swelling

I'm not screaming loud enough for you to hear

No one gets it, they can't hear me

Boost up the stereo

I can't repeat myself fast enough

My constant screaming is tuned out

But some choose to hear

It's not fear, it's anxious anticipation

It's not shouting, it's screaming

Why am I the only one screaming?

The microphone won't work, so no one can hear me

I gotta scream

My throat is burning and my blood is boiling

I'm screaming your name but you can't seem to hear

I'm screaming out the answer, but the question is louder
