How God Clothes His Children

How God Clothes His Children

A Poem by Emunah June.

I wake up in the morning (not feeling like P-Diddy)
I don't know how to dress myself.
In walks my Father, the one who loves me so.
"Get dressed Faith," He says
And I say "Okay Daddy!"

First is the dress.
The dress of a Believer
I wear it and I
Never forget who my Father is
I believe He helps me get dressed.

Next comes the shoes
The shoes that will carry me to Heaven
I walk with them on (He gets my size right everytime!)
And I know I will come home
Feeling pretty.

Next He gives me the ribbion
The ribbon coloured like a Rainbow.
I tie my hair up with His promises
That no harm will come to me

Finally, my school books
The Good Book, the Best Book, the Holy Word
His "good luck sweetie" note for me
So that way I can ace the test.

"You look beautiful" He says, and I smile
I know he's right, because after all
He clothed me
He got me ready
To face the world.

I leave for school
I'm happy
Because I know
Father will be home when I get back.
How do I know this?
Because He always is
