Okay guys, seriously.

I'm 18 years old, still in high school, and I feel like I have more maturity than these writers. I'm completely against plagiarism, but come on! It's really getting annoying that a website used to write & share creativity with one another is being used as a dramatic social club. You all claim to be so old & so mature & so grown up, yet you can't manage to write your own material or get along! Do you understand how for someone like me who actually came here to write feels?? I mean, I can't even find good reading anymore because all my newsfeed is "VirginPoet this" and "plagiarism that". CAN WE NOT??

I just want to write! I just want to write my thoughts, share my admiration of the English language, and be around likeminded people who won't mock my pen! That's it! Is that so hard to ask?

VirginPoet....if everyone on here is, as you say, stealing your stuff, then LEAVE. There are a thousand other writing websites that you can go onto, this isn't just the only one. I don't care that you've been here for 10+ years, I don't care how long Steve has been here...LEAVE. IF YOU CAN'T TRUST PEOPLE HERE THEN L E A V E. I'm so tired of my friends' good works getting buried underneath your "he said she said" drama. I feel really bad for you if your stuff did get plagiarized, but there are a thousand adult ways you can handle it rather than droning on for days and days and days PUBLICLY about how upset you are. Contact an admin. Block them. Take your writing down. Leave the site. Message them privately. Try to sort things out. ANYTHING BUT WHAT YOU ARE CURRENTLY DOING.

Steve, you're the man of your marriage---FIX IT. You shouldn't be egging your wife on to argue with these people, YOU should be taking control and FIXING IT.

You both are not true writers. Let the real writers write and why don't you go back to high school where all this belongs.

Ok you say I was causing the drama and complaining about people stealing my poetry ...

The FACTS I was attacked and accused I WAS NOT the one doing the accusing. Charlie the mod banned me I than sent him a message via fb he asked me for proof I sent lots from more than one website that I post my work to he than reinstated me proving I am NO plagiarizer and he gave me A=an apology.

I have posted new poems and have been ignoring the drama even the harassing mass messages this troll sends daily

YES I BLOCK and BLOCK this insane troll makes many more fake pages I keep links to all that pop up and send them to Charlie is this troll accusing me of stealing his work NO he is not and has no reason to cyber stalk me

You say you are sick of the drama how do you think I feel and than seeing you post a piece like this when you could have sent me a private message to address the issue

The fact that you see virginpoet this and that in your feed is not my fault you are overwhelmed by the troll making mass reviews on my work even poems I have published in anthologies way back in the 90's

I am my own person I have no boss just as he has no boss we are adults not children who need a boss steve is not even on here when he was attacked he blocked and blocked the troll made new pages making threats against our son so he took his work down and left ... Thus enraging the troll to the point of attacking me and causing all this drama I do not know who this troll is or why he is after me and many others here

But I hope he attacks you so you will see what I have been going through on top of the plagiarizers than you will wish you were only just annoyed by seeing things on your feed

Rene Salinas was one of his many victims as am I and than fallows the bandwagon crowd good to know you are riding that wagon as well

One last thing I DO NOT WANT DRAMA FOR VIEWS I am a poet my work can stand on its own if I wanted more views Id pay to advertise but no thank you I am here to write I don't care if I get views or even reviews I am here for me and me alone

Dear Freezing Ring, (sighs that name gives me such wrong images...)

On the matter of the dynamics shown on this site. To my surprise, I find this comment fragmented and incomplete. If this is a call to get rid of plagiarism. Then why not advocate for serious Moderator administration? Why not to sort this issue behind the scenes and let writers write? Why does it seem to me that every write does nothing but accentuate the already existing drama?

Look at it from the point of view of a sceptic the more drama the more views! That's surely not a bad thing for "wannabe writers" is it? The proof even demonstrated in this writing, which will attract a considerable number of views and really for what?

We have on this site and apparently proudly as well the presence of the most destructive human being known to the online writing world. He impersonates females, pretends to be religious, deceives everyone and all telling them how much "everyone else should get a life" and an all around anti - writer yet you rather focus on this?

In comparison to the human being that goes by the aliases and one of them is Chris. V this what you are trying to expose, it pales in comparison.

Now onto the factual stuff which is boring:

Plagiarism is not even a legal term, it is copyright infringement which is punishable, when you first log into this site which I’m sure you missed, there are no promises given, how could they?

You want to protect yourself, is simple, pay!

Which leads me gently into the morality of it all. Chris. V and all his aliases haven’t only managed to do the plagiarism thing, they have also managed to go beyond human rights in some cases, questioning cyber laws for that matter.

If the “mods” will not even address that issue what is really this writing and all the consequent writing meant to achieve?

I applaud the “soap opera” although not my genre of choice.

Oh yes, naturally I'm missing some essential pieces, I really just wrote this in the heat of the moment when all I kept seeing was this specific case in my news feed. We do for sure need tighter administration.

I think we are not on the same page Calo. I have moderated on chess sites before. We had rules and code of conducts anyone that did not comply got banned and booted. I work in IT and we have more rules than you can imagine. Why do you think this site is different? Have you got some information that we don't?

I've been on the WC a few years now and it seems every six months or so this place goes crazy. I was even in the middle of it once for making extremely ugly comments to another writer who was talking s**t about me. Turned out the writer was a woman which I didn't know and my colorful commentary was wildly inappropriate for being directed at a her, or any woman for that matter. After I got crucified by her WC minions, blocked god knows how many hate filled emails and was blocked by several people, I wrote an open letter of apology to the WC, ate a massive amount of crow and got into contact with the writer I offended. I apologized to her which she graciously accepted, called off her minions and the whole s**t storm blew over. Of everyone involved in that fiasco I'm the only one left still on the WC. So even when you screw up as royally as I did if you admit it and apologize as best you can it all gets better, eventually. Grown ups aren't perfect and and can be worse than children at times in part because we run out of excuses for our own bullshit so we end up believing it. Just watching the idiots in our own government talking s**t about each other is just about enough to lose your faith in humanity. It ain't just us on the WC ya know. My advice is ignore the drama, write and post your work, review the people you like and screw the cry babies. Trust me freezing ring, life is FULL of cry babies and drama queens. At least on the WC you can block them when they get really annoying.

I'm pretty new here and not sure what this is entirely about. That being said, I couldn't agree more with your vision of these kinds of sites should be. Very well said, and I hope to encounter more like yourself who are here for the love of sharing writing and creativity.

i wish it all would stop too....it's a site to share poetry, and poets need each other---not this kind of mess...and the board does tend to get covered up with writings about it all.
