And Thus He Spoke To MeA Poem by Emunah June.Today On a day like this I hopped in the car, nervous and anxious for the words to come And silently was thankful, for we were late Good, we'll miss some of the singing. Singing is always rather tiresome. And sure enough the car pulled forward And the praises were being sung And so we joined in, despite not knowing this song My lips quivered and spoke, singing with the masses And as I raised my hands in worship She knelt, and so did her mother, singing the praises I sang so hollow-ly before And it took that song, that one song of british descent, to open my eyes And I sobbed. And I wailed, falling to my knees and begging fo my God's forgiveness For only truly today have I woken from my deep sleep And have accepted His word fully and entirely Oh my God, my Lord and my salvation, where have I been all this time?? Missing such words of divine grace and devotion! What a waste I have been until now! © 2013 Emunah June.Author's Note
