Nails on a Rain Tarp [A Terrifying Thought]A Poem by Emunah June. It's hard to sleep On a night so fair When wind chills my bones And spiders crawl in my hair
The light grows dim Batteries near dead Slipping headphones on my ears And a pillow under my head
That battery dies too And suddenly stops my heart When demons float around outside Spitting nails on our rain tarp
I had cried in the car the night before And tonight the acid is over The lightning flash and streaks outside Skies dark with rolling thunder
The nails are ripping throught my chest My music a distant memory So tonight I'll sleep under plastic sheets And dream of dreams in ebony
And as I shiver and shake under the hoodies And my night is filled with horror and wraught I finally come to the obivous conclusion That camping in the rain is a terrifying thought © 2012 Emunah June.Author's Note
