Virtuoso

Virtuoso

A Poem by Gordon

Virtuoso
Come to me now
Light the cracks in me
Pluck me from darkness
Somehow

Virtuoso
Strum away yesterday
Hold my fears, my frets
Pick me from the ashes
Some way

Virtuoso
Dance, twirl and play
Upon my heartstrings
Sing to me, hum your song
Some day

Wow, I really like this. It's so smooth and deliberate.
"Virtuoso
Come to me now
Light the cracks in me
Pluck me from darkness
Somehow"
Perfectly crafted, and interesting word choice, especially with the "light the cracks in me." It gives this piece dimension that is quite profound.
I will say that the "heart strings" part can be interpreted as overused and weary, but you gave them new light with the rhythm and the general facade of simplicity.

Three verses that cry, "please!"

A good effort. Again, I must be the "b***h" who finds the metaphors used rather tired and trite.
