Some days it can be very unrewarding to be a nice person. But one day everyone will be judged.....

I’m on the eve of seeking light

Secoming to its glory

Should I choose wrong over right,

The people here, there never still

Fighting one another’s will

Abiding unto their creed

Overtaken by their greed

God extends his promise forth

Author's Note

I wrote this song to be a quiet choir tune/ ballad early last year. Ironicly I wrote it to 'psyce' myself up for a swimming carnival. (I used to be a competitive swimmer) So it was on the eve of this interschool carnival I wrote the main verses. However nearly a year later, I thought of the bridge and the chorus, penning them with fire as the central theme. I deleated the origional chorus and chopped and changed a few things and thats how 'allways a fire' was born. Its now a rock song! Thanx for reading.

Great words. Very telling, with a lesson to be learned. Nicely done. Two suggestions - I think you mean to use the word 'weak' rather than 'week' and 'Always' instead of 'Allways'. Good work. Thank you for sharing your talent.
