RISE ABOVE

RISE ABOVE

A Poem by Cassie Fraga
"

I designed this rhyme to remind...

"
**There comes a time when your tears become your motivation
Your exhaustion becomes your energy
Your weakness becomes your strength
And your confusion becomes your view**

Knocking my fist into the chest of iniquity
I seize the darkened depth of its sound
Pierce my nails into a conquering clutch
Letting the fevered ooze seep into the ground
I rise above with experience turn lesson and lessons learned
Wearing mistakes forgiven as my crown
Shinning complications with a ray of faith
Dropping negativity pound for pound

I feel the pale mocking drip and puddle into my hands
Reflecting versus to freeze my soul
Long lost words with no face they cruelly whisper
Bidding my cries to tear through my skin as they roll
I rise above with tossing such echoes into an acid of rejection
Remembering to treat my dreams and love like gold
I tear myself down to rebuild for a new
A stronger me to fit the mold

Rise above-

Won't say anything but "priceless"...Attitude is everything and strengthens to rise above that which can be overwhelming. Great thoughts and inspiration to be...

"Wearing mistakes forgiven as my crown" - Love this.
This was really good. It had a beat to it that I could dig. I really like the very quotable first verse. Well done.

"Exhaustion becomes your energy" ... I love that line because...i m h o...exhaustion often becomes the point at which heartache and break finally reaches its end. "Lessons and lessons learned" "Wearing mistakes forgiven as a crown" .... such a crown is so hard to wear but oh how beautiful it looks here...you wear it boldly and well. I see in this a person better for their experiences, and ready to begin again. One who might very well not take out the sins of their significant others past on their significant others future. I hope so anyway. Either way, you've done it again my friend, as is your custom. You knocked one out of the park. *borrowing your lyrical wand for just a second to tip it to you*

Vow !!! An extremely powerful poem... it can motivate a lot of people who are denied their basic rights and acknowledgements of even of their presence! A true tribute to people who look forward to live!!

This is fabulous, I love the care given to the persona driven right before my eyes. This is so deep. I have felt this and grew from this type of essence twice in my life. YOU ROCK! I love the first four line with stars the most they set up the whole poem. Simply wonderful and full of word play and a full look to come out of thyself and be stronger in the life time for a lifetime. :) It was a pleasure!
