Compass

Compass

A Poem by Chris

The world offers a path where tracks lead to darkness,

After dark a man wanders into where the storm marches.

No flashlight, no provision.

What was the intention behind his midnight decision?

When he left he never marked his trail,

Just as well, no one knew where he went cuz he didn't tell.

It starts to get cold, he tries to be bold.

But realizes his plan wasn't all golden.

How must he make his way back?

He can't just follow the same path!

The compass broken like egg, crack!

It dawns on me...

I don't know where I'm at!

How do I get back on track towards the right path?

Eventually they found the man decieved.

Leaning on his own knowledge which got him a bigger problem.

Like Solomon say's,

There's a way which seems right to man.

But it's end is the way of death,

We need the compass.
