The Depths Unknown

The Depths Unknown

A Poem by Infernos Wretched

In dreams of searching reality,
I sit here and wonder,
"Is this all real?
or is this all apart of anothers' dreams that we plunder?"

There's nothing we shall search for.
Nothing we shall even seek,
Yet certain words or phrases are beyond our reach.

Have we become blind?
Have we reached towards insanity?
Can we go beyond that to the depths of despair?
Or is it the misery that we are actually real; actually there?

I believe we all exist, in a vacant vast world,
to walk through all the deserts to get to the rain,
the sins we commit are actually keeping us from being slain.

Feeling your blood boil, the sweats and chills coming across your naked skin,
just to tell you you're alive, that you can search what you've lost again and again.
A reminder that i'm too like you, who thinks in more complexity,
thinking deeper and reconnecting, relapsing from this false world we all call reality?

I'll sometimes sit here, releasing what psychologists say are emotions,
yet i sit here feeling paralyzed inside the mind,
day by day, feeling the same, like everything constantly rewinds.

Shall i call that sadness?
Shall i call that being in too much pain?
Could i let it go and loose my regrets for that to be in vain?

Nevertheless, we all think these things.
The pain, that constantly tells us we all are alive,
that we can do anything, just to survive.

Not everyone feels more in depth like the chosen ones.
Not everyone goes towards that route,
Not everyone dreams of being in the middle of a drought.

I think all of us are withering day by day,
like the stars that explode in the universe like they barely existed.
I see it; it's like the dreams we all dream as if we too have insisted.

I compare this also to a cover that's been blown;
Do you, like me, go all the way to the depths unknown?

There's a lot of profound lines to nibble on

I believe we all exist, in a vacant vast world

I think all of us are withering day by day

Emotive. I feel like this is bordering on nihilism, yet there's a defiance brooding beneath, challenging and still searching for truth.

Good stuff.
