I am well on cloud nine
I am well on cloud nine I am drinking without age and dormant in this state I am well on cloud nine Constant stars see me from the skies Passing ships of my friends greet me on the tides Passing ships of my friends greet me as they pass by I am well on cloud nine Ocean bells calls and wash old days I am on my back floating on my own ways I see nothing but sky and stars Though thoughts of them are hardly far I am sober on my fears And I have no doubt that they are near I count the sphere like I did cars Do you think they too fear what they are? I am safe on cloud nine My loves give me refuge out here at sea My loves give me promise out of remedy There the astronauts tell me that home is close to me Here passing ships of my friends don't look on fondly I have found a secret place that will only be mine Now and then I am safe in the well on cloud nine
