Temporary Madness (A Cruel Tease)

Temporary Madness (A Cruel Tease)

A Poem by Nicholas Hagenschneider

i'm not good enough for anyone but death

yet she is nothing more then a cruel tease

so still i try and hold my breath

i can feel her embrace begin to squeeze

she carelessly whispers in my ear

she runs her cold finger down my cheek

her words are nothing but sincere

leaving me in a state so unreiably weak

but she is my love, my everything

my temporary goddess

i await the care that she brings

my temporary madness

i'm so overcome by her beauty

yet she is nothing more then a cruel tease

so still i try and hold my breath

i can tell her i want to be part of her disease

she kisses my forehead softly

she carresses my cheek

she speaks and i agree

leaving me in a state so unreliably weak
