Counting Downwards

Counting Downwards

A Poem by Nicholas Hagenschneider

pardon me

you may want to shut your window

for i can see

all that you lay bare

like watching a cloud

to which way the wind blows

i can see that

your secrets are in the air

hello stranger

what was it that you wager

hello stranger

your privacies in danger

pardon me

you may want to shut your window

for i can see

all that you lay bare

like counting downwards

untill the world knows

i can see towards

the truth that's below

hello stranger

what is it that you wager

hello stranger

your privacies in danger
