Unvocalized Answer

Unvocalized Answer

A Poem by Nicholas Hagenschneider

you wore my heart around your neck like a noose

i couldn't get to you in time to cut you loose

i watched dangle from my heart in regret

i wish i could go back and hit reset

i can see your needs

in an unvocalized answer

i can see your pleads

to just end it all

i can see your needs

in an unvocalized answer

i can see your pleads

to reach our downfall

please do not hate me when you are dead

please disregard everything that i have said

you wore my heart around your neck like a noose

i tried to get to you in time to cut you loose

i can see your needs

in an unvocalized answer

i can see your pleads

to just end it all

i can see your needs

in your unvocalized answer

i can hear your please

to reach our downfall
