Something Real

Something Real

A Poem by Nicholas Hagenschneider

i argue with her everyday

bu i want her to stay

to try and talk it out

to figure out what she's sad about

she says i'm angry all the time

and i cannot deny it

she says i don't listen to her

and that she's sick of my s**t

i don't blame her

for the way she feels

i don't blame her

for wanting something real

for wanting something better

every night i get what i deserve

a sense of nothing that scratches at my nerves

my longing to see her face

my lack of wanting this place

my world is nothing without you

and without you i don't know what to do

i want you close to me

but you want a life that i can't see

i don't blame her

for the way she feels

i don't blame her

for wanting something real

for wanting something better
