Dreamcatcher

Dreamcatcher

A Poem by Nicholas Hagenschneider

this time is the last time

i'll allow this to happen

and no i am not fine

in this world that i am lost in

i lie awake at nightwith

these dreams slipping from my mind

while staring with no sight

at how far i've fallen behind

cause it's about damn time i stop letting go

turn around and catch my dreams

and it's about damn time i stop moving slow

and repair my shredded seams

like a distant goal to reach for

you realize that it is worth it

and once you go through that door

it comes together bit by bit

so you reach inside yourself

to discover hope and dedication

and you walk on through this world

without doubt or manipulation

cause it's about damn time i stop letting go

turn around and catch my dreams

and it's about damn time i stop moving slow

and repair my shredded seams
