Locked In

Locked In

A Poem by Nicholas Hagenschneider

she's screaming cause she's stuck in a place she doesn't want to be

she's left everything behind for the bliss that she rarely see's

she's screaming cause she know's she's made the biggest mistake of her life

and she's at the bottom with no determination to make things right

so the tears run down her face

she feels her last breath begin to fade

she locked the doors just in case

now her mind is enveloped in shade

memories of happiness begin to flood into her last thoughts

the sound of laughter and love cover the sounds of gunshots

staring at the ceiling a smile creeps it's way onto her face

but she made sure to lock the doors just in case

so the tears run down her face

she feels her last breath begin to fade

she locked the doors just in case

now her mind is enveloped in shade

i'm locked in

i'm locked inside

i'm locked in

i'm locked inside
