blood

blood

A Poem by marna

When you see blood,
you think pain.
When you see no blood,
there is no pain?
If you don't see my blood.
Does that mean, no pain?

I feel pain when there is no blood.
A cut, a scratch; no, not on skin.
Look beneath to see my pain.
See the cuts & scars that will last forever.
Since they are hidden & I wear a smile,
you think I am fine.
Sadly the pain made those scars.

If you are insulted;
you can leave it or take it.
When you take it, it cuts;
if not treated it will hurt forever.

How do you treat a wound not seen by others?
You can tell people, but that won't work;
you can deal with it yourself, but the pain increases.
If you find a way to treat the pain, tell me.
I don't want this pain.
People have killed themselves over this pain.
What they do is just causes pain.

I want no pain.
I don't want to cause pain.
My life is long, but feels short.

My pain grows with each word you insult me with.

great thoughts!!! yes there is always some pain without the proof of blood...
but you seem to be hurt by someone and that too deeply...
i wanted to ask you something....does this poem reflect your mental state at the time you wrote this poem?? if so then i'm sure when you had written it down then some of the pain must have eased...this is the way to treat that internal pain...share it...it works...the more you hold it inside, the more it grows...let it go..scream it out..throw it out!!!
