Consider this: you are not a horrible person. Your dad may dislike you, or you may not see eye to eye, but break free when you reach 18 and make something of your life. And if he finally tells you that he is proud of you, then you've succeeded.

A sad poem. It's a shame fathers walk out on their children because their not responsible enough. "and you said he was just like my mom, thats a lie" is a little confusing to the reader because it could be anyone. BTW watch that last line, you've got two buts.
