Fear

Fear

A Poem by kazzy
"

So much lies beneath the surface, not wanting to be seen

"

Fear grips my mind, body and soul

Forcing me to hide at all times

What if someone one day saw?

Saw all that lies deep within my head?

All of the fallen angels and laughing demons

The broken promises and the blood-stained dreams

The empty words and the crocodile tears

The fires of passion and iciness of apathy.

The eye of the storm, calm amongst raging winds

Yet more dangerous than could ever be conceived

Screaming in defiance without an umbrella

Just begging for lighting to strike, just one more time

Fears stirs deep within my heart

Threatening to expose all that I am

What if someone one day saw me?

What if one day, I saw myself?

A beautiful write indeed. We all have so many things going in our mind .they are our secrets.
Even we hate to think that we can be that bad, that wicked. So your last line very well expresses it "what if one day I saw myself?" This poem is relatable to us all.
Thanks for this beautiful poem, Kazzy!
Keep writing and sharing.....
